        Projects Managed

        • The Insurance Institute of Ireland, Insurance Centre, 5 Harbourmaster Place, IFSC, Dublin 1.
          September 2013
This job involved the organisation, co-ordination and management of a digital App design and development project. As Project Manager I was involved with setting up a team of Designers, App Developers and Copywriters. The stakeholder was involved from the start along with a very progressive and active client. The project involved simplifying the way the Institute’s student’s accessed data re courses, qualifications, modules, designations with an easy to use interface design.
The Project Management methodology used throughout the project was Agile and this was applied at every stage of the project. This project is real and is live with a real client and associated with a Project Management course I have been undertaking.
The App or Web App as this was a responsive website has been designed using a User Centred Design approach. Starting with basic concepts, flow charts-structured diagrams, App work flow diagrams, wireframes, design mockups, Hi-Fi design and then finally a full and final online live product.
An easy to use product available online using any handheld device, PC or Apple Mac computer.
The App has a CMS developed in Jsonp and has a simple flat interface design with minimal colours and font usage.
The Project started in January 2013 and will be completed in September 2013 with a lot of the development being done in Javascript to allow for the menus and pages to be dynamic, all the styling was done using CSS 3 with Theme-roller.
All deadlines during this project have been met with “Project Milestone” events being particularly successful with great and well received presentations. All aspects of this project have been well received by both the Stakeholder and the Client. The project is due to be released in due course after a period of testing it will be released as a beta version.
